My Desire Is To Make A Possitive Difference For Our Community
I was born in Kansas City, Kansas in 1947 and lived around 10th and Ohio. I attended and graduated from Ward High School and was then hired by the Santa Fe Railroad in 1966. Shortly there after in 1967 I enlisted in the Marine Corps. My time in the Marine Corps included a tour in Viet Nam. I was honorably dischared in 1971 and returned home meeting my wife Becky, who I then married in 1972. We have four amazing kids and ten beautiful grandkids.
I had retained my job at the Santa Fe Railroad and stayed there for 33 years. While there I started as a clerk, then I was promoted to locomotive engineer and then became a memeber of the management team of the ATSFRR. With that promotion we moved to Chicago. While in Chicago I held various positions and was transfered to Ft. Madison,
Iowa. From Ft. Madison I was transferred to Flagstaff, Arizona for my new position as Division Superintendent. We were then transferred to Ft. Worth, Texas after a merger with BNRR. I then retired from BNSFRR in 1999 and went to work for AMTRAK. I retired from AMTRAK in 2003.
My wife and I retired to our property in Oklahoma. After a few years we decided we rather be closer to family so we sold our property and moved back to Kansas. We settled in Olathe and enjoy being back in our beloved state where we have been able to reconnect with family and friends.
